Welcome to our world!

One of only a handful of weavers in Europe, and trained by the best

Rob was originally from England, but now lives in France with his wife and two kids, after moving to the beautiful mountain region of the Haute Savoie in 2018.

What started just as a way to learn a fun new skill many years ago, quickly grew into a passion. After years of being a hobby weaver, making smaller nets for friends and family, Rob was then trained by the guru of tree net weaving, ‘Tree Net Willy’, from the USA in 2024. Ever since then, we’ve been helping people with their projects in the local area.

In 2025 we registered as a fully insured, French enterprise, so that we could expand our work to help more people with their projects across France and beyond. We have also formed partnerships with high quality artisan carpentry enterprises to enable bigger and better projects!

We’ve got a passion for bringing spaces to life and creating one off pieces that enable you to get more out of your home or garden, and even if we can’t work together – we just love talking weaving. So drop us a note and feel free to fire any questions you might have our way! 🙂

We’ve got loads more content on our instagram channel, so go take a look if you want to see more of what we’re up to at the moment:

A quick intro to the world of tree nets

Let us give you a quick tour of some of the most important aspects of weaving

What are tree nets?

Fair question. Tree nets (or space nets) cover the process of hand weaving netting out of Paracord and static climbing rope, either inside, outside, or into bespoke furniture. Ranging from large outdoor structures between trees, to custom mezzanines or floating cinema rooms, they create new space to enjoy time together in areas that were previously not utilized. As they are built on site, the world is your oyster when it comes to design, and creativity can run free to deliver one off structures or pieces of art.

They differ to what you may have experienced at outdoor play centres or pre-fabricated mezzanine nets, in that they are custom woven on site and use much softer (but stronger) rope. This enables increased strength, but also a chance to create something far more interesting, as it can be designed based on the specific space

Why would I want one?

Good question! Whether it’s a small addition to a childrens bedroom to offer a hangout space, or adding a floating apero spot in the house for the adults, they offer many different benefits depending on what they’re used for. However, at their core, they create space that was not there before, while adding a new spot for time spent with friends and family. It fits in with the wider space, doesn’t block off natural light, and you can go crazy either with patterns and colours, or stay classic with crisp symetrical patterns and black rope.

And what we love most is that everyone is totally different, so our clients each end up with an absolute one off piece of work that is designed to deliver the specific experience that they want – chill, play, rest, read, watch, whatever your heart desires!

Are they safe?

Very important question!

The first key detail is that we only use certified materials, with all paracord being 550 type 3 from official EU outlets, and all static climbing rope being a minimum of 11m thick, and adhering to BS EN1891 standards, classified as ‘Type A’.

By using these we have confirmed strength capabilities of each strand, and then by using a series of knots (mainly clove hitch) – strength capability is increased when combined together.

Then when it comes to building, we are a fully insured and French registered enterprise. We follow a strict code of approach based on the global best practice for weaving. Incorporating walls of at least 5 feet on all open sides of nets, and ensuring gaps in nets are no larger than 5cm, and all wall gaps are no larger than 10cm. As everything is customizable, gaps can be made smaller and walls can be made higher – all depending on what the net is intended to be used for.

What type of nets do you make?

There are 4 main types of nets that we offer, however it is important to add that due to its custom nature, we are able to help create in nearly all situations – so use the below as a guide, but feel free to just speak to us about what you’re trying to achieve and then we’ll look at how best we can help.

These main categories are: Indoor nets, Outdoor nets, Decorative weaving and custom projects – find out more about this on ‘our services’ page or check out the ‘example projects’ page for inspiration
